In Hinduism, Tulsi is worshiped by offering water, chandan or sindoor, rice, flowers and sacrament(holy food/Prasad). Diya (lamp) is lit to worship the plant.People are also encouraged to grow Tulsi plant in their home so that environment can be benefited.
